GIFT is an innovation project that aims to decarbonise the energy mix of European islands to comply with the European and international agreements. The GIFT project targets innovative systems that allow islands to integrate a vast amount of renewables. This project targets multiple innovative solutions such as a virtual power system, suitable energy management systems, better prediction of supply and demand, visualisation of those data through a GIS platform and, last but not least, innovative storage systems.
